The Willows is an 1800 sq. foot retreat cabin on a private 28 acre stocked lake nestled in the middle of 160 acres of rolling grassland. We use it for getting away, recharging, walking, and fishing. The sprawling parklike landscape is ideal for outdoor events such as weddings, church picnics or family reunions, and with the cabin make for a great setting for a day long corporate or board planning retreat. We also host sportsmen who are looking for a base camp for their hunting & fishing trips. There is a boat slip available for your complimentary use. This cabin features open floor plan and plenty of windows for stunning views of the property. A spacious deck provides flexibility for indoor/outdoor parties.

There is an outdoor pit for bonfires, and a gas grill. The kitchen features Amana appliances and an entertainment bar. Decorations change seasonally with a country/rustic theme. There is forced A/C and heat throughout and a franklin stove in the bedroom, which also houses the large screen television and foosball table. The main room boasts the kitchen and dining area, large professional billiards table and a large native stone fireplace complementing a twin sleeper and smaller TV. The billiards table converts to a conference table with an oak topper. The shower is spacious and full tile. We have two large screen smart televisions where guests can login and logout of their own accounts. Streaming TV is unlimited through MarkTwain Internet. A bluetooth accessible sound system in the main room & deck is sure to keep all your guests swaying to a beat. Sleep well on a full bed, Lazy Boy queen sofa sleeper with air mattress, a twin sleeper, futon and two couches. It sleeps 10 if couches are used, 8 if not. Bring your own air mattresses and sleeping bags for that extra sardine in the group.

Meal options: 1) bring your own food (we recommend buying in Kirksville or Memphis as local convenience store is limited) 2) We have engaged a number of local chefs and caterers to accommodate a variety of needs….from pig roast to elegant 5 course dinner. 3)  Another option is pre-selected tasty food from Schwan’s, stocked in the fridge/freezer for your no-hassle preparation. Additional charges will apply for options 2 or 3. The Willows will ‘bend’ to customize any hybrid of the above in order to satisfy your needs.
